Technology Requirements for Online Courses

Westminster Online students must have regular access to a computer that is in good working condition and has a stable internet connection. A tablet or smartphone is not sufficient for online courses. A Google Chromebook and Microsoft Surface is not sufficient for online courses that require remote proctored exams or specific software installation. A webcam and a headset or microphone for your computer are required for full participation and engagement in courses.

Web browsers Current or previous major release, one of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari (for Apple/Macintosh only). Chrome and Firefox required for remote exam proctoring.
Browser plug-ins JavaScript enabled and third-party cookies enabled
Camera resolution 800 x 600 resolution or better. Auto-focus lens recommended
Internet connection Cable modem, DSL or better (300 kbps download, 250 kbps upload)
