Enrique Salas Durazo is an Associate Professor of Spanish and Chair of the Foreign Languages department at Westminster College. He received his PhD in Spanish at the University of California, Riverside, in 2012 and began working at Westminster in Fall 2013. As a researcher, he has published articles and book chapters on contemporary Mexican and Colombian literature and has participated in several national and international conferences. At Westminster College, Dr. Salas Durazo teaches all the courses at all levels in the Spanish department, from elementary Spanish to advanced and capstone courses, and actively promotes Study Abroad courses to Spain and Latin America every year. As a professor at Westminster, Dr. Salas Durazo has been recognized with the Alpha Chi professor of the year (2020) and the Buschman Dean's Outstanding Junior Faculty Award (2016). His main interests are classical music, classic and contemporary literature, and personal growth through yoga and meditation.
