The Westminster Fund
WE SURPASSED OUR GOAL!
Thanks to all of the continued support of our alumni, parents and friends, the Westminster Fund has surpassed it's goal in fiscal year 2011!
The Westminster Fund goal was set at $550,000 for fiscal year 2011 and we ended the fiscal year
(July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2011) at $672,062 or 122% of our goal!
This past year of giving was remarkable, given the economic uncertainty. We are encouraged by the feedback we receive from our alumni and friends, who want to continue to support the College through the Westminster Fund to meet our most critical needs like student scholarships. We are also encouraged by the number of prospective students who are expressing interest in Westminster as their college of choice, but the college "recruiting" market is, perhaps, as competitive now as it has ever been; so making meaningful financial assistance available to students is extremely critical right now. Our emphasis for this year, then, must be to encourage our prospective donors to consider gifts in support of unrestricted scholarships, which of course provide tremendous relief to the college institutional aid budget, but also provide tremendous incentive to students and their families who must make every educational dollar count as they make their decisions on choosing a college for their future. The Westminster Fund, through your generous donations, will help lessen the burden on future Blue Jays and help all students who want to attend Westminster make that dream a reality.
