Westminster Drops Baseball Opener In Arkansas

Clarksville, Ark. - The Westminster College baseball squad managed just five hits in dropping its season opener by a 9-1 score to Millsaps College Friday in the Ozarks Classic at the University of the Ozarks.

The Blue Jays (0-1) got a pair of hits from senior Mike Young (St. Louis, Mo./St. Mary's) and got an unearned run in the home half of the ninth inning on an RBI ground out by senior Nick Genetti (St. Louis, Mo./St. Mary's). Junior Tyler Ten Eyck (DeWitt, Mich./DeWitt) took the loss, allowing five earned runs on six hits over five innings. Four more Westminster pitchers saw action in relief against Millsaps (3-1) which scored nine runs on ten hits and five walks.
