Westminster Men Open SLIAC Tournament Play Thursday

Fulton, Mo. – The Westminster College men’s basketball squad makes its fifth consecutive St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) tournament appearance this week. The Blue Jays, who stand 15-10, are the second seed and face third-seeded Eureka College at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Webster University in St. Louis. Host and top seeded Webster faces fourth-seeded MacMurray College in Thursday’s second semi-final. The semi-final winners meet at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the tournament championship, with the winner advancing to the NCAA tournament.

Westminster is 15-12 all-time in 14 appearances in the conference tournament, and the Blue Jays won titles in 1995 and 2010.

Westminster vs. Eureka: Westminster leads the all-time series with Eureka 16-12 and split the two games this season, winning the most recent game 76-74 this past Saturday in Fulton…The Blue Jays defeated Eureka 74-67 in the 2010 conference tournament championship in Fulton, Missouri…
