Reverend Brad Sheppard
Brad began serving at Westminster in 1999. As College Chaplain, Brad directs the Spiritual Life Program and teaches courses in the department of Classics, Philosophy and Religious Studies. He enjoys the variety and diversity which come with his position—leading worship, organizing educational forums, social activities and community service projects, teaching classes and advising and mentoring students. At the heart of his work is the desire to help students better understand themselves, the world around them, and how their faith can be real and active in their everyday lives. He graduated from Furman University, Greenville, SC, and Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, NJ, and was ordained by the Presbyterian Church, USA, in 2001. He is a member of the Presbyterian College Chaplains’ Association and the National Association of College and University Chaplains. Brad and his wife Terry, also a Presbyterian minister, are parents of a delightful son, Jadon Isaac. Brad enjoys gardening, cooking, spending time in the outdoors, reading, and advocating for human rights.
