Victor is a spirited bulldog who loves children and learning everything there is to know about Sir Winston Churchill ― a British prime minister who was nicknamed "the British Bulldog." "He looks a little bit like me!" the rascally stray from Kent, England, thought to himself not long after he wandered to Mr. Churchill's vine-covered country mansion that is surrounded by fragrant, colorful flowers.
The friendly staff at the Chartwell estate took pity on Victor, gave him a bath, fed him delicious scraps, and told him many tales about a quiet town in the United States where Mr. Churchill gave a very important speech. Victor was delighted to learn about Mr. Churchill's famous "V for Victory" hand gesture that inspired a generation. He repeated to himself, "I'm 'Victor … y! Victor … Victorious!"
The scamp who loves adventure soon made a bold decision to journey thousands of miles to the United States to learn even more about Mr. Churchill. From hitching a ride to London to crossing the English Channel by ferry, and braving ship voyages across the Atlantic Ocean and train rides across the East and Midwest, Victor's determination led him safely to his new home at America's National Churchill Museum on the campus of Westminster College. Victory for Victor, at last!
Today, Victor delights in welcoming visitors, sharing Mr. Churchill's extraordinary story, and making new friends from around the globe!
