Faculty Development

The Center for Teaching and Learning hosts a variety of opportunities for on-campus faculty development each year. Before classes start, the CTL coordinates a half-day of training on topics of greatest significance to the faculty and College, as well as additional workshops throughout the days leading up to the start of classes. During each semester, the CTL sponsors workshops, book clubs, lunch ‘n learn activities, as well as individualized programs; faculty are free to participate in those activities they find most beneficial.

Two of our student interns, Caleb Maassen, '25 IND, and Morgan Gordy, '23 IND, have been working on projects with the Center for Teaching and Learning. One such project involved creating a podcast with faculty member, Dr. Nichol Allen. She has thoughtful insights to share on ways to engage students in learning!
