The Classroom and Beyond

Course in the minor expose students to contemporary leadership concepts and theories, and to their application in a variety of contexts.  Minor courses include skill development in critical thinking, creative problem solving, and ethical decision-making, which are the foundation to becoming a positive change agent. Through hand-on courses and internships, students will learn to apply theories of leadership to address the challenges of human rights, social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Students will also develop and implement their own values-centered and strengths-based leadership philosophy and style that is grounded in ethics and contemporary theory.
