Criminal Justice Minor

Why Minor in Criminal Justice?

Criminal justice is an increasingly popular area of study, especially as more police departments and correctional facilities require applicants to hold a bachelor’s degree in some field. The minor provides students with the knowledge they will need to find employment with a variety of local, state, and national law enforcement agencies. Students will learn legal and social theories of crime, trends in criminal justice, including their sources and consequences, how to interpret data used to evaluate the criminal justice system, and the ways that criminal law impacts individuals and society.
