Why study International Business at Westminster College?

The International Business Program will make you an asset to any organization. The knowledge of language, culture, business and politics that you gain will qualify you to work in a large multinational corporation, the U.S. government, or an international not-for-profit organization. The education you receive will place you at the forefront of applicants to any graduate school.

Having been the scene for international speakers and events for decades, Westminster College offers the perfect environment for the study of the world as well as business. We regularly host prominent business leaders such as Hugh Grant, the CEO of Monsanto Corporation, that give compelling speeches and insight into international business beyond theory. We offer a great environment for mixing with people of many cultures and political backgrounds. Almost ten percent of Westminster's student body comes from over 65 countries. Often, Westminster's International Club will give presentations to the student body on global issues and their cultural perspective of the political situation. The Westminster faculty, too, offers a diverse and rich experience for students as they have traveled to, studied in, and lectured in academic institutions and places throughout the world. Plus, Westminster's business program ensures you receive a top-quality education, recognized nationally by employers.

Absolutely! Given the course requirements of the major, many International Business majors have picked up a major or minor in foreign language and or a major/minor in Business Administration.
The GPA requirement for the major is 2.0. You will have to have an average of 2.0 in your major classes.

You will need 54-64 credit hours (minimum 54) beyond GENED classes.  If you look at the course requirements, you will see that some of your GENED classes also counts towards this major.  So, if you know that this is the major you want, you can start choosing your classes carefully, so that you can open up other major/minor opportunities!

This major differs from the Business major because it has international focus and it has language requirements.  It is designed for students who want to go and work for companies with international focus or even with companies in different countries.
