Health and Wellness FAQs

All concerns related to COVID should be directed to the Wellness Center at 573-592-5361.

If you develop symptoms of COVID-19, you should stay in your room and contact the Wellness Center at 573-592-5361 for evaluation and testing.  The Wellness Center is open from 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.  If you develop symptoms after hours, please distance yourself from others until you can get evaluated at the Wellness Center or at another health clinic. 

In the event of an emergency, please call 911. For all other urgent situations, please call Campus Security at 573-592-5555.

If an individual tests positive for COVID-19, the following steps should be taken:

  • Wear a mask at all times
  • If you are a student, notify Westminster College Wellness Center at 573-592-5361.
  • If you are a student living off campus or staff/faculty you should leave campus and return to your living space.
  • Follow your healthcare provider's recommendations.
Individuals who test positive for COVID should follow the direction of their health care provider or the Wellness Center.  The Wellness Center follows the CDC guidelines linked here.
Contact tracing and quarantine are no longer recommended by the CDC.  The updates to this change are listed here. 

COVID-19 testing is available on campus for faculty, staff, and students that are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.  If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please call the Wellness Center at 573-592-5361 to determine if a test is needed.

Westminster College plans to offer the vaccine and boosters monthly as supplies allow.

The communication of information regarding positive test results is first directed by the Health Department. Because of privacy restrictions, identifying information will not be shared. After working with the Health Department, information concerning a positive case will be communicated at the top of the COVID-19 landing page on our website.

If a student has been vaccinated for COVID, please upload their COVID-19 vaccine proof prior to returning to campus (you must be logged into MyWC). This vaccination information will be added you your health record.

The CDC no longer recommends contact tracing for individuals who test positive for COVID-19.  With this change quarantine is no longer required for individuals who have been a close contact to an individual who has tested positive.  For more information
