Westminster College has negotiated an affordable and comprehensive health care plan for our students and their dependents.


2023/2024 Student Insurance Rates and Effective Dates:

Fall (08/01/2023-01/10/2024)

Students who are U.S. citizens or who have domestic classification and have health insurance coverage through another entity (parents, spouse, etc.) will not be required to buy the College-sponsored plan, but must opt-out of the student insurance online before August 31st.  

All returning and new Fall Semester Students must take action before August 31st.  

All new Spring Semester Students must take action before February 8th.

International students are required to use the College-sponsored health insurance. A fee for this mandatory health insurance is applied to each international student's account.  The insurance plan for international students covers the majority of medical needs. There are exceptions to the policy and international students may have to cover additional fees. Summary of insurance benefits

To opt-out, the student will need to complete the online form including providing proof of other health insurance coverage.  The opt-out process must be completed by all returning and new students every academic year.  If a student begins classes for the Spring semester, they will need to opt-out for the Spring semester only.  Directions being sent to student e-mail. Required Forms

The Wellness Center requires all new and transferring students to turn in their immunization records and complete a health form, a tuberculosis questionnaire/screening BEFORE the first day of class attendance. 

The forms are located on MyWC, along with the New Student Checklist, and must be completed and submitted. Please be sure to submit the required immunization documents, which are also listed on the checklist.
